Elizabeth has spent decades working to improve the conditions for the frail elderly in our state. Among Elizabeth’s efforts: Serving as chairman of the North Carolina Association for Justice’s Nursing Home Litigation Section for three terms, speaking at state and national trial lawyers’ nursing home seminars, and serving on the Board of Directors for Friends of Residents in Long Term Care – the state’s only non-profit advocacy group devoted exclusively to improving the condition of the frail elderly in our state.

Elizabeth has taught legal education courses to other lawyers in North Carolina and nationwide. The frail elderly are our most vulnerable and least protected. The nursing home chains cut corners and cut costs and patient care suffers.
