About Elizabeth Todd
Elizabeth Todd has practiced law since graduating from Wake Forest Law School in 1996. She has practiced all over the state of North Carolina representing families in domestic court, corporations in bankruptcy course, defendants in criminal court, and, finally, families against insurance companies and nursing home chains. She was representing clients in court before she even got out of law school - having the opportunity to work for Legal Services of North Carolina representing the poor in Charlotte during her summers in law school.
Since 2000, Elizabeth has devoted her practice to representing victims of nursing home abuse and neglect against insurance companies and nursing home and assisted living chains. At a time when most lawyers rejected these cases as not worth pursuing, Elizabeth recognized the need to protect the frail elderly in nursing homes and assisted living facilities.

It is our mission to improve the quality of care and quality of life for our seniors who represent the most vulnerable and least protected among our citizens.
Giving Back
Elizabeth has spent decades working to improve the conditions for the frail elderly in our state. Among Elizabeth’s efforts: Serving as chairman of the North Carolina Association for Justice’s Nursing Home Litigation Section for two terms, speaking at state and national trial lawyers’ nursing home seminars, and serving on the Board of Directors for Friends of Residents in Long Term Care - the state’s only non-profit advocacy group devoted exclusively to improving the condition of the frail elderly in our state.
